Replacement:This Part 2 is applicable to electrically powered LABORATORY CENTRIFUGES.Aspects excluded from scopeAddition:- additional precautions which may need to be observed when centrifuging materials which are flammable or explosive (see 5.4.101);- additional precautions which may need to be observed when centrifuging materials that chemically interact vigorously (see 5.4.1 01).Equipment excluded from scopeAddition:- rotating electrical machinery within the scope of IEC 34;- CENTRIFUGES (used in explosive atmospheres) within the scope of IEC 79.
