Interpretation of GB/T 15341—2023 Talc Standard

I. Background of Standard Revision and Analysis of Technological Evolution

GB/T 15341—2023 is the second revision after the 2012 edition, which mainly optimizes and supplements the classification and quality requirements of talc products:

• The definitions of the terms "pharmaceutical talc" and "food talc" have been added
• The physical and chemical performance indicators have been improved, especially the detection methods for lead (Pb) and arsenic (As) have been added
• The inspection rules and marking requirements have been optimized to ensure the traceability of product quality

II. Classification and marking of talc products

According to the use, talc is divided into four categories:
