- This guiding technical document specifies the standard series and varieties of military optical fibers as well as selection and application guidelines. This guiding technical document applies to the optical fiber standard series and varieties that should be prioritized when designing and manufacturing military equipment; it also serves as the basic basis for selecting series and varieties during optical fiber R&D and production. This guiding technical document does not serve as the basis for delivery acceptance of military optical fiber products. The purpose of this guiding technical document is to: a) Provide military equipment and manufacturers with optical fiber standard series and varieties suitable for military use; b) Promote the use of optical fiber standard series and varieties for military equipment to minimize similar non-standard series and the use of varieties, improve the level of standardization and serialization; c) Control and plan and manage the R&D and production of military optical fibers to meet the needs of military equipment with fewer series and varieties, so as to control varieties, enhance investment effects, Improve product quality and provide effective logistics support.
