Scope
Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Pseudomonasaeruginosa) is a common Gram-negative opportunistic pathogen that is widely distributed in normal human skin, respiratory tract, intestines, and various natural environments such as water and soil. This bacterium has a rod-shaped single flagellum morphology, and the suitable growth temperature is25-37℃,exist42℃It can also grow inLBThe colonies on the culture medium are green and round and can easily adhere to the surface of different substrates to form biofilms. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the main pathogenic bacteria of nosocomial infections. It can form biofilms on different parts of patients with low immunity and cause long-term chronic infections, including burn wound infections, respiratory infections and urinary tract infections. It can also cause Fatal complications such as bacteremia and sepsis. This bacterium is resistant to a variety of antibiotics, and the resistance mechanism is very complex, including forming biofilms, strengthening the efflux pump system, changing cell membrane permeability and drug targets, and secreting antibacterial enzymes. The formation mechanism of Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm is also quite complex, such as excessive secretion of extracellular polysaccharides and accumulation of extracellular polysaccharides.DNAreduce exercise capacity, adjust the crowd sensing system, etc. As a model strain for studying biofilms, Pseudomonas aeruginosa has long been widely used in research to construct biofilms, detect drug resistance and develop drug regimens. This guide is written with Pseudomonas aeruginosa as the model strain. The culture and experimental conditions of other bacterial strains can be adjusted appropriately as needed to achieve the best experimental results.
