- Scope
- This standard establishes requirements for the design, size and volume of glass vials for injectable dosage forms. This standard also specifies the material from which the bottles are made and the requirements for the characteristics of the primary packaging. This standard applies to clear or dark glass bottles made of borosilicate or sodium-lime-silicate glass, manufactured from a glass tube with a treated or untreated internal surface and intended for packaging (filling) injectable medicinal products, their subsequent storage or transportation.
