Scope

This standard specifies the diagnosis and differential diagnosis, syndrome differentiation, treatment, outcome (prognosis), contraindications and caution for generalized anxiety. This standard applies to the diagnosis and treatment of generalized anxiety. This standard does not apply to the diagnosis and treatment of other types of anxiety disorders (panic attacks, phobias, separation anxiety disorder, etc.).
