- This standard specifies the dimensions, materials, manufacturing and use of convex curved oblique incidence test blocks for calibration and verification of ultrasonic testing equipment. This standard is applicable to the accurate positioning of horizontal, vertical and sound path detection of obliquely incident ultrasonic waves in the circumferential direction of hollow forgings, pipe fittings or rods. This standard provides a method for circumferential oblique detection of the angle, sound velocity and zero point calibration of convex surface forgings.
