Scope

This standard specifies the safety performance requirements and test methods for automobile fuel tanks containing liquid fuel. This standard also specifies the safety requirements for the installation of automobile fuel tanks on vehicles. This standard applies to metal fuel tanks and plastic fuel tanks for M\N and O class vehicles.
