Scope

This practice covers the preparation of 150-mm diameter by 38- to 50-mm thick cylindrical test specimens for use in indirect tension dynamic modulus tests. This practice is intended for dense-@ gap-@ and open-graded asphalt mixtures with nominal maximum aggregate sizes up to 25 mm. This standard may involve hazardous materials@ operations@ and equipment. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems associated with its use.
