The sample is melted with sodium peroxide and leached with water to separate the molybdenum from most of the iron, manganese, copper, bismuth, calcium, etc. Use citric acid to mask tungsten, use copper salt as catalyst, in dilute sulfuric acid solution, use thiourea to reduce molybdenum to pentavalent, and then form an orange-red complex with thiocyanate, and measure it at the wavelength of 460nm with a spectrophotometer. Absorbance, calculate molybdenum content.
