Scope

This part of GB/T2889 stipulates the practical application of commonly used symbols related to the calculation, design and testing of sliding bearings in ISO4378 4 . In ISO4378 4, a distinction is made between basic symbols and additional symbols. Diagrams are used as superscripts or subscripts. The symbols required for the calculation, design, manufacture and inspection of sliding bearings are basic symbols or a combination of basic symbols and additional symbols. This part gives the symbols that need to be used in the calculation, design and testing of sliding bearings. These symbols are defined in the manner recommended in ISO 4378 4. The positive direction of the rotation angle and direction is defined as the left-hand (counterclockwise) rotation direction. This definition also applies to rotational frequency, peripheral velocity and angular velocity.
