- Scope
- This standard specifies the testing process for quality inspection of commercial microbial culture media by manufacturers and users. The media that manufacturers must test but do not require users to test are listed in Table 1, including the quality control strains required to test each set of media and the acceptable expected results. The media that users must test are listed in Table 2. Incubation conditions and times are suitable for the listed quality control strains, but do not imply that these conditions are recommended for clinical specimens.
