Scope

This recommended practice applies to wire rope supported@ latticed crane boom systems mounted on mobile construction type cranes for lift crane service. PURPOSE: The purpose of this recommended practice is to establish criteria for the analytical evaluation of the basic structural competence of wire rope supported@ latticed crane boom systems. The criteria and procedures specified include the evaluation of elastic stability for the overall boom system and individual members of the system.
