This standard applies to the core materials of sandwich structures made from polymer composites and establishes a method for determining the shear strength characteristics of the core materials of sandwich structures by beam bending testing. The method is applicable for materials of the inner layer of “sandwich” structures with a continuous bonding surface (for example, balsa wood and foam plastics), as well as with an intermittent bonding surface (for example, honeycomb structures)
