Scope: This document describes the test method for rigid foamed plastics to determine the burning time, the height of the burning flame of the sample, and the percentage of residual mass. This document applies to small-scale tests for evaluating the vertical burning behavior of rigid foamed plastics under laboratory conditions. This document does not apply to materials that melt or drip during combustion. This document is not suitable for assessing the fire hazard of materials under actual fire conditions, nor can it be used as the only basis for an effective assessment of the fire hazard of materials.
