This standard is formulated in accordance with the Environmental Protection Law and other laws and regulations, and for the first time puts forward systematic self-monitoring requirements for the chemical fiber manufacturing industry. It is applicable to the monitoring of water, air and noise pollution in the production process of seven major products such as viscose fiber and polyester fiber.
| Monitoring type | Key indicators | Minimum frequency | Special requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wastewater discharge | COD, ammonia nitrogen, total zinc | Quarterly/automatic monitoring | Viscose fiber needs to be tested for carbon disulfide |
| Organized waste gas | Non-methane total hydrocarbons, particulate matter | Monthly/quarterly | Nylon needs to be tested for formaldehyde |
| Unorganized waste gas | Hydrogen sulfide, ammonia | Half a year | Monitoring at factory boundaries |
Case: A polyester fiber factory detected a total antimony concentration of 0.8mg/L at the emission outlet of the polymerization workshop and discovered the catalyst leakage problem in time through the monthly monitoring frequency required by this standard.
Compared with the general provisions of HJ 819, the innovations of this standard include:
