This standard specifies the structure, model and marking, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, labels and packaging, transportation and storage, quality commitment and services of ordinary V-belts for transmission (hereinafter referred to as V-belts). This standard does not apply to ordinary V-belts with cord structures, nor to V-belts used in mechanical transmission devices such as automobiles, agricultural machinery, and motorcycles. This standard applies to transmission V-belts with wire rope structures other than the above-mentioned mechanical transmission devices.
