- This standard specifies the colors for conveying safety information, the purpose is to enable people to quickly find or distinguish safety signs and remind people to pay attention to prevent accidents. However, lighting, fluorescent colors and colors used in aviation, navigation and inland waterway are not included. Colors used for other purposes are also excluded from the scope of this standard.
