Scope

This standard specifies a method for the determination of total sulfur in petroleum and petroleum products that are single-phase and liquid under ambient conditions, liquefied by moderate heating, or soluble in hydrocarbon solvents. These products include diesel fuels, jet fuels, kerosene, other distillate fuels, naphtha, heating oil, base oils, hydraulic oils, petroleum, unleaded gasoline, gasoline-ethanol blends, and biodiesel.
