This standard specifies the performance requirements for components and components when prefabricated fire-extinguishing system units are used in specific types, configurations, specifications and arrangements, as well as the minimum requirements for testing and component evaluation. This standard applies to the design, testing and operation of prefabricated fire extinguishing systems for the protection of marine galley hoods, exhaust ducts, fryers and other oil-containing appliances. Characteristics, characteristics, components, materials or systems that are new or different from the products within the scope of the requirements of this standard and have potential risks of fire, electric shock or personal injury can be evaluated by referring to this standard and using appropriate additional tests on the components or finished products. Note: Among the kitchen cooking equipment included in this standard, only deep frying cooking equipment is equipped with a fixed fire extinguishing system in accordance with the requirements of Chapter II-2 10.6.4 of the Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).
