This document specifies the general requirements for the design, construction and installation of above-ground vertical cylindrical flat-bottomed steel main container storage tanks (including metal components, concrete components, thermal insulation components, etc.) and cooling procedures and methods. This document is applicable to low-temperature liquefied gases with a storage temperature range of -165 ℃ ~ 0 ℃, including liquefied natural gas (LNG) and low-temperature liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and other low-temperature frozen hydrocarbons, whose main components are methane, ethane, propane , butane, ethylene, propylene, etc. This document is applicable to storage tanks whose maximum design pressure is not greater than 50kPa. This document does not apply to tanks whose primary containment is concrete.
