- This document specifies the terms and definitions, classifications and grades, technical requirements, test methods (inspection methods), inspection rules, packaging, labeling, transportation and storage of general technical specifications for silica sand for foundry. This document applies to silica sand used in sand mold (core) processes in foundry production, including washed silica sand, scrubbed silica sand, flotation silica sand, roasted silica sand, artificially crushed silica sand and standard silica sand for inspection. Regenerated sand or other deep-processed purified sand can be used for foundry sand. Refer to use.
