Scope
This standard specifies characteristics of a nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel supplied in the following forms, and as parts, for general aerospace use: a) forging stock, designation S99A; b) forgings: softened, designation S99C; c) forgings: hardened and tempered, designation S99F; d) black bars for machining: softened, designation S99B; e) black bars for machining: hardened and tempered, designation S99E; f) bright bars for machining: softened, designation S99D; g) bright bars for machining: hardened and tempered, designation S99G.
