Scope
This standard specifies the commonly used materials, heat treatment equipment, processes, quality inspection, energy consumption, safety, health and environmental protection requirements for heavy-duty gears. This standard applies to gas carburizing, quenching and tempering, nitriding and induction quenching and tempering of heavy-duty gears.
