This document stipulates the basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, usage, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage, and quality commitments for hand sanitizer gel (hereinafter referred to as "gel"). This document applies to no-rinse disinfectant gels for hand and skin disinfection made with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol as the active bactericidal ingredient, water as the solvent, and carbomer or cellulose as the gelling agent.
