- This standard applies to geosynthetic bentonite roll materials with a geotextile base (hereinafter referred to as bentonite mats), used for waterproofing tunnels, foundations and underground parts of buildings and structures, installation of impervious screens during the construction of municipal and industrial waste disposal facilities, as well as their reclamation, installation of impermeable screens screens of earthen embankments in transport construction, oil and gas production and processing industry facilities, agricultural facilities, installation of anti-filtration elements of hydraulic structures. This standard does not apply to bentonite mats with a backing in the form of a geomembrane, geofilm or polymer coating
