- This document specifies the reagents, main instruments and equipment, operating steps, result determination and precautions for the fluorescent RT-PCR detection method of foot and mouth disease virus type O, type A and Asia type 1. This document is applicable to the detection of foot-and-mouth disease virus nucleic acid in the blister skin, blister fluid, esophageal-pharyngeal secretions (OP fluid) of ruminants, animal tissues and virus cultures of animals with suspected clinical onset of foot-and-mouth disease.
