The purpose of this paper is to present nomographs and charts which are useful in the solution of a wide variety of beam-column problems. Methods are presented for the determination of the load deflection behavior of restrained beam-columns of constant cross section. The restraint may be elastic or elasticplastic@ and failure is assumed to take place by excessive bending in the plane of the applied moments. Several example problems illuslrate the application of the charts.
