- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, working principles, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs of silicon-based infrared gas sensors. This standard applies to silicon-based infrared gas sensors (hereinafter referred to as "sensors") whose key components such as light sources and detectors are mainly used for gas detection of formaldehyde, acetone, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and carbon dioxide.
