This document establishes the test process for stress wave propagation in rock and the calculation method for stress wave propagation characteristics, and stipulates the requirements for rock sample collection and specimen preparation, equipment and software, stress wave measurement, stress wave propagation parameter analysis and report preparation. This document is applicable to the testing of stress wave propagation characteristics (wave speed, amplitude attenuation rate, spectrum, attenuation coefficient and wave number) in rock bodies.
