Scope

This standard specifies the nested RT-PCR method for the identification and detection of classical swine fever virus (CSFV) field strains and vaccine strains. This standard is applicable to the diagnosis and monitoring of swine fever, the detection of CSFV nucleic acid in living pigs and their organs, blood, excreta and cell cultures, and the identification of wild strains and vaccine-immune strains.
