Scope

This standard specifies the diagnosis and differential diagnosis, syndrome differentiation, treatment, outcome (prognosis), contraindications and caution for panic disorder. This standard applies to the diagnosis and treatment of panic disorder. This standard does not apply to the diagnosis and treatment of other types of anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, phobias, separation anxiety disorder, etc.).
