Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types, performance parameters, requirements, tests and test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of traction transformers used in electrified railway traction substations. This standard applies to traction transformers with voltage levels of 110kV and 220kV, rated capacities from 6300kVA to 90000kVA, and rated frequency of 50Hz.
