This part of the EN 302 standard describes a method for determining the delamination resistance of adhesively bonded joints. It is suitable for the following applications: a) To assess the conformity of adhesives with respect to Standard EN 301. b) To assess the suitability for use and quality of adhesives for wooden structures under load. c) To compare the resulting effects on the resistance of the joints, of the choice of gluing conditions, of the different climatic conditions and of the treatments of the specimens before and after gluing. This test is mainly intended to obtain performance data for the classification of adhesives for wooden structures under load, according to their suitability for use in defined climatic environments. This method is not intended to provide numerical design data and does not necessarily represent the behavior of the bonded part in service. It is not intended to be used in the assessment of the suitability for the use of adhesives for the manufacture of wood-based boards.
