This SAE Recommended Practice applies to cranes when used in lifting crane service which are equipped with load moment devices. PURPOSE: The purpose of this recommended practice is to establish the minimum performance criteria of systems used to warn or indicate to the operator and/or other responsible persons when the load being lifted approaches and meets the rated load value on the applicable load rating chart of the crane.
