Scope: This standard specifies the materials, selection and design of steel hot-dip galvanizing pots, zinc pot manufacturing specifications, quality inspection and acceptance, and zinc pot usage requirements. This standard applies to units that manufacture and use steel zinc pots, and has a reference and binding role for units that produce special steel plates for zinc pots and units that produce galvanizing equipment. This standard applies to steel galvanizing pots where the hot-dip temperature is lower than 465°C or the maximum temperature of the inner wall of the zinc pot is lower than 480°C. The aluminum content in the zinc liquid shall not exceed 0.1%. This standard does not apply to zinc pots for high-temperature galvanizing and zinc pots for hot-dip galvanizing-5% aluminum-rare earth alloys.
