Scope

This document specifies the basic dimensional characteristics of rectangular steel piston rings with piston ring types R, B, BA and M (hereinafter referred to as "rectangular steel rings"). This document applies to rectangular steel rings for reciprocating internal combustion engines for road vehicles and other purposes with cylinder diameters from 30 mm to 160 mm.
