Scope
This standard specifies the classification and onset characteristics of dairy cow ketosis, as well as quarantine methods such as the qualitative detection of ketone bodies in milk and the modified salicylaldehyde colorimetric method for the quantitative detection of ketone bodies in serum. This standard applies to clinical and subclinical detection and quarantine of dairy cow ketosis.
