Scope
This specification covers aluminum alloy sheet and plate, 0.020 to 0.499 in. (0.51 to 12.67 mm) thick, clad on both sides (see 8.5). These products are generally used for cryogenic services and where weldability and maximum corrosion resistance are required, but use is not limited to such applications. Certain designs and processing procedures may render these products susceptible to stress corrosion cracking; ARP823 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
