Scope

This document specifies devices and procedures for measuring the total amount of halogen acid gases other than hydrofluoric acid released during combustion of halogenated polymer-based mixtures and halogen-containing additive mixtures taken from electric or optical cable construction. Note 1: This test method cannot be used to determine the fluorine content. For the test method of fluorine content, see IEC60684-2.
