Scope
IEC 6140025 (all parts) focuses on the general requirements for communication between components in a wind farm (e.g. wind turbines) and participants (e.g. SCADA systems). The internal communication of each part of the wind farm is not within the scope of application. IEC6140025 (all parts) designs the communication environment supported by the client-server model, defines the following three aspects, and models them separately to ensure the scalability of the implementation: a) Wind farm information model; b) Information Exchange model; c) Information model and information exchange model map to standard communication protocols. The wind farm information model and information exchange model form an interface between the client and the server. As an interpretation framework for accessing wind farm data, the wind farm information model provides unified, component-oriented wind farm data to the client through the server. The information exchange model reflects all available functionality on the server side. IEC6140025 (all parts) enables universal access between different clients and servers from different manufacturers and suppliers. As shown in Figure 1, the server side defined by IEC6140025 (all parts) includes the following aspects. ——Information provided by wind farm components, such as "wind turbine rotor speed" or "total power generation during a certain period of time", this information is modeled and can be effectively accessed. The modeling information in IEC6140025 (all parts) is defined in IEC61400-252 and IEC61400-256. ---Exchange service for modeled information values, defined in IEC61400253. --Mapped to the communication protocol, providing a protocol stack to obtain exchange values from modeled information (IEC61400254). IEC6140025 (all parts) only defines how to model information, information exchange and mapping to specific communication protocols, and does not include how and where to implement communication interfaces, application program interfaces and implementation recommendations. However, the purpose of IEC 6140025 (all parts) is to obtain information related to a single wind farm component (such as a wind turbine) through the corresponding logical device. This document specifies the general provisions of the usage principles and models of IEC6140025 (all parts). Note: IEC6140025 (all parts) focuses on general, non-vendor-specific information. Items of information that are highly variable in implementation by a specific vendor may be specified in bilateral agreements, user groups, or amendments to IEC 6140025 (all parts). 251:2017 Figure 1 Communication model concept of IEC6140025 series
