"Over the past several years@ frequent airline travelers may have noticed that fewer pilots and navigators have been carrying large flight bags containing flight-related materials such as crew information@ dispatch lists@ passenger lists@ aircraft operating manuals@ and airway route manuals [1-1] Some pilots and navigators have begun replacing the large heavy flight bag with a tablet device known as the electronic flight bag (EFB) [1-2@ [13] Additionally@ some airlines have begun to offer free entertainment via Wi-Fi Aircraft maintenance and repair operations also have the ability to access manuals electronically But this computer interconnectivity fromthe supply chain to aircraft to air traffic control puts the aviation industry at risk for what other industries have already experienced: cyber attacks By some accounts@ the airline industry is ""under siege from cyber attackers"" who have infiltrated :the U.S air traffic control system@ forced airlines to ground planes and potentially stolen detailed travel records on millions of people"" [1-4] "
