Scope

This document specifies a method for the determination of lubricant content in lubricant-containing metal powders. The method is also suitable for preparing samples to determine the content of elements, such as graphite and oxygen, whose determination is interfered by the presence of lubricants. The prerequisite for applying this method is that suitable solvents for extracting lubricants are known and readily available.
