This document specifies the method for high strain rate tensile testing of metal round bars for metal castings and forgings with a wall thickness of 3 mm or more for automobiles. This document is applicable to tests with a strain rate range of 10-2s-1 to 103s-1 and a test temperature of 10°C to 35°C. The test temperature must be 23°C ± 5°C. Unless otherwise specified, tensile testing is performed using a hydraulic servo-type testing system. Note: When the strain rate is lower than 10-2s-1, a quasi-static test type testing machine can be used, and the test specification adopts GB/T228.1-2010.
