Scope

This standard specifies the various environmental conditions and parameter classifications that electrical and electronic products used on mobile platforms and offshore installations (hereinafter referred to as "platforms") are subjected to. This standard applies to the selection of environmental conditions and their parameter levels when designing and formulating technical conditions for electrical and electronic products used on platforms. Electrical and electronic products for single point mooring devices and offshore floating devices can refer to this standard.
