The purpose of this document is to guide and standardize the standardized development of rehabilitation medicine subspecialties in general hospitals, enhance doctors' awareness of practicing law, standardize doctors' practice behavior, ensure the quality and safety of medical rehabilitation services, improve the capacity and level of rehabilitation medical services in general hospitals, and meet the increasing needs of the people. The growing demand for rehabilitation medical services calls for the standardization of rehabilitation medicine subspecialties. This document stipulates the requirements for the establishment of subspecialty subjects in rehabilitation medicine, including the naming method for the establishment of subspecialties in rehabilitation medicine, the establishment form of subspecialties in rehabilitation medicine, and the requirements for admission conditions (personnel qualifications). An appendix of necessary and recommended equipment for subspecialties is given, taking the subspecialty of neurological rehabilitation, subspecialty of motor system rehabilitation, subspecialty of respiratory and circulatory system rehabilitation, and subspecialty of traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation as examples.
