This document stipulates the classification, effect evaluation and clinical testing requirements for tooth whitening efficacy of toothpaste products. This document applies to toothpaste products that claim to have bleaching or optical whitening effects and whose physical and chemical properties, hygiene and safety indicators comply with corresponding standards and specifications. This document does not apply to toothpastes that claim to have physical whitening effects such as removing exogenous stains on teeth or preventing tooth stain regeneration.
