Scope

This document specifies the qualitative and quantitative determination of aluminum silicate, zirconia aluminum silicate refractory ceramic fibers (hereinafter collectively referred to as refractory ceramic fibers) and asbestos in automotive materials. This document is applicable to the qualitative and quantitative determination of refractory ceramic fibers and asbestos in automotive products. Materials in other products that have been verified to be suitable can also be measured with reference to this method.
