Scope: The present document specifies the Abstract Test Suite (ATS) and partial Protocol Implementation extra Information for Testing (PIXIT) proforma for the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) as defined in Draft IETF SIP RFC 2543bis-04 [1]. The objective of this test specification is to provide a basis for conformance tests for SIP equipment giving a high probability of inter-operability between different manufacturer's SIP equipments. Annex A provides the Tree and Tabular Combined Notation (TTCN-3) part of the ATS. Annex B provides the Partial Protocol Implementation Extra Information for Testing (PMIT) proforma of the ATS. Annex C provides the Protocol Conformance Test Report (PCTR) proforma of the ATS.
