Scope

This standard defines the common terms and element types of geometric elements of workpieces. These definitions are based on the concept expanded in GB/T 24637.1. This standard gives a "road map" of the interrelationships between geometric elements. This standard is intended to establish future standards in a consistent manner between industry and software manufacturers.
